Steering Wheel Leather Looks like Crap

Any of you folks out there done anything with the leather steering wheel? I have a 2000 F250 Lariat 7.3 and My wheel as been thru the mill and back. The tan coloring is gone on the top 1/3 rd of the steering wheel. Interested in making it look better. Any solutions, really don't want to buy another wheel.

I have one of those slip-on covers over mine that has the faux Burlwood that matches the interior of my Lariat. You can get a leather cover that laces in the inside edge to cover the existing wheel.

bought a new one from dealer. It is a king ranch wheel with a different type of leather top and bottom. seems to be holding up better than the original one. There is a guy on ebay that sells them with wood top and bottom for a little less. I would have gone that route, but found out about him too late.

If the leather is still intact, there's a special paint with which you can refinish your wheel.

Any pictures Adam? I never thought paint would hold up there.

Ill get some, I dont know how long it will last, I thought it would crack in the cold, but it lasted all winter...... I was gonna buy a new steering wheel but thought I would try painting it first for the hell of it... It looks pretty cool, I painted it right, primed it, base-coat, then clearcoated. I scuffed the leather real good first with a rough scotch brite pad.
