it's that time again and I've been down at Cape lookout for the last week and a half. we had a great time. caught a bunch of small flounder, a boat full of nice spanish and blues and several really nice spikes "trout". we were able to go out to the blue water several days when the wind wasn't howling. the blue water trips produced several 25 to 30lb and one 39 lb kings and two nice wahoo. my brother caught a 84lb bull shark and a very big ray that we never even got in the boat. the good fishing was still out at 20+ miles but it's getting closer.

I'm heading up that way the week before Memorial Day weekend....and staying through the weekend. Gonna do some cobia fishing (and other fun stuff)......We're also gonna hit the clam beds in Bogue Sound.

Hint: The green head monster shrimp are 'running' at that time. Hopefully I'll be able to score 25 or 30 lb......When my 'supplier' (haha) hits it right....I can get them monsters (10-12 count) for $4.00/lb.........

I'll be flounder gigging and shrimping in July and August too. My BIG fishing trip is up to Portsmouth Island in October (first week) ....Take a camper and ATV out there for 5 or 6 days and try to slay some 'reds'.......
