Thanks Max,

I was looking for the OE flares but the truck on the bushwaker site looks the same as the next ones up, so I was hoping to find a truck around that has them with some good close up pics. I was going to contact the FTE parts guy but they look to be about 150 each....yikes.

Sarge, I did a lot of research and finally determined they are EGR flares. I was going to get one to replace the missing front left, but decided to just go without the flares, kinda like the cleaner look that way, plus they can only be purchased in pairs not singles.

Nice job! The gauges look great down there in the dash. Reps to you.

I was gonna ask why you had the entire dash out for a gauge install, but then I read the rest of the posts.

nice......very nice cartmanea. Looks very OEM. Had a quick question.....for where you hooked your fuel pressure gauge sender in. Did you use a metric 12X1.5 adapter with an o-ring on it where it goes into the fuel filter housing? It looks that way but I can't tell for sure with the angle of the pic. If it is a 12X1.5 did it come with your gauge...or did you have to order it special....the reason i ask is because i have to wait on my install for fuel pressure because i didn't have the right adaptor that came with my autometer gauge......I was just curious.

Yes, its a M12 x 1.5 to 1/8" NPT adapter. They were the cause of several filter housings cracking (including mine) because they didn't have enough shoulder behind the o-ring, so GOS is looking for a better fitting.

Thanks Cartmanea.....My 12X1.5 fitting is on it's way from Diesel Manor....Should I be concerned about my filter housing breaking? I didn't know if they had made changes in them from the 03' you have to the 06' I have? If not then any tricks to not breaking things.....I'm all to good at that.

Tighten the sensor into the fitting before installing the fitting into the filter housing. Use some lube on the o-ring and run it in until it just starts to bottom out and do not snug it any past that. The problem with the fitting I used was it had no flange and the hex corners were slightly beveled and applied outward pressure on the housing and cracked it. I've heard the '05 and later housings were cast thicker and don't crack as easily, but I'm not positive on that. Here is the fitting I used, if yours is the same just be very careful not to snug it past when the hex bottoms out.

No, the EV2 gauges connect the senders directly to the gauge with no external box. The Performax gauges use the ESP, but that system isn't really cost effective unless you have 5-6 or more gauges and want to do data logging.

I liked the looks of the DiPricol Optix gauges better, but they just don't have a very good selection so if you want to add more later you are limited. Also, ISSPRO is in Portland, OR so that is nearby for me. The fonts on the ISSPRO match better too, but I think the Optix are cleaner looking. With the discount I got from GOS Performance though, I couldn't pass on the ISSPRO.

Wow GOS does have some great deals...Did your kit come with all the necissary install parts?
