What's up with Hot Shots Secret

I saw a bunch of posts on this product a while back but I haven't seen anything on it in a while. What's going on with it?

I used it and asked for the refund to be donated to a local charity.

I'm running it right now, almost 2k miles and no improvement. I'll be changing to synthetic 5w40 next and hopefully that will help with the cold starts and injector stiction.

I still have a half bottle as a PM dose for my next oil change, I doubt I will buy it after that. Maybe I'll NOT add it next OC and see what happens, and save it just in case. I'll see if the newer flash and switching to the 5-40 will suffice. $50 is almost 3 gal of Rotella syn!

D8,

My plan was the same as you. I used it...seen no improvements, however I had no problems either. Well 3 months after my last dose on the second oil change the #1 injector went on vacation so it didnt work for me, atleast as a PM. I am now running Rotella 5w40, and will be ready to change the oil in a few weeks and will send a sample to Black Stone to see whats up. I have also started using the ashless 2 stroke in the fuel, so between the 2, mostly the synthetic oil, I have seen a real improvement in my cold start issues.

I will keep my stringent OCI though even now that I am using a full synthetic.

Anybody use it that had good initial results still have positive feedback. Not trying to bash anyone but I have a friend that is having a bad problems with the truck missing. Changed oil brands and saw some improvements. Was wondering if this might help him but don't want to recommend it if it doesn't work well. Anybody else have any reports?

What about fuel filters? Does it do it moreso when it's cold? ( and if so does he have the Ind Heat flash?) I think it did me some good but I also switched to syn and had the new flash done all within several weeks, so it's hard to tell if it was ONLY the HSS. I don't think it hurt but $50 for a 32 oz bottle is a lot of coin( but then again there IS a $$ back guarantee) Can't hurt to try it- my .02

What a waste of money. Put in good synthetic oil. Change it regularly. Thats all you need.
