I think Dew the thunder just means that its not a concern because aftermarket hub centric wheels ARE readily available, and if not you can always buy the conical lug nuts, so no need to worry about that aspect. I agree a 2wd superduty might as well be lowered. Bag it out so you can still tow if you need to. But my stomach would turn if i saw a 4X4 superduty lowered.

Aftermarket hub centric wheels are not readily available. Last I knew, Weld Racing was the only company who made them for Super Dutys. Just buy lug-centric wheels and conical lugs.
Maybe I'm missing something but I think it IS a concern. Super Duty wheels are hub centric for a reason.
Hub-centric handles the weight that our trucks were designed to haul. The hub carries the load and the lugs provide clamping force.
Lug-centric requires the lug bolts to handle both the load and clamping force. The entire load is also transferred to the support that holds the lug bolts.
Thats a nice truck, but I never got how that would work for a truck you drive. What happens if there is a pothole or speed bump? Doesn't that completely mess up the front bumper since when the wheel goes into the pothole all the weight is transferred to the bumper for a short period of time, or when you essentially ram a speed bump?

im not sure how this confuses u ...
but the air bags act as the springs
the vehicle can move up and down atleast 6" ...13" in well build rides
so u only drive a inch off the ground on smooth roads
u fill the bags to go over speed bumps
HAHAHAH, this thread cracks me up. I have been on here almost two years and I have been watching for one like this every day I sign on. My 4wd SD is the FIRST vehicle I have had that I havent lowered or bagged. Part of the reason I wanted 4wd was so I couldnt bag it and It would stay good for a daily driver. I have an Isuzu that is going to be my next bagged truck. I have seen a few bagged SD's and didnt really like them, but they were all 99-04. Seeing the 05 makes me want to say screw the Isuzu and get a SD to bag.
For all of you hating on the idea, different people like different things. I bet there isn't ONE of you who is hating that doesn't have at least one thing done to your truck that is pointless and was done just for looks.
Just for reference, here are pics of my previous two daily drivers. Both were purchased bone stock (second one was brand new)

Thanks! I knew that already and I guess now my question should be, "Can the lugs do the job?"

I didn't know that the truck had airbags, but that does make sense. I just thought it was shorter coils and shocks, which would keep the truck at one specific height. I could be wrong about all of this as I am pretty new to cars and how they work. The reason I am here is to learn. An air ride would make sense though, thanks
Eeclipse is that your truck?
What suspension are you running?
That truck is very close to what i want... i want flat black wheels and im going to have a 05+ front clip
