Well, I haven't been around here much. I apologise for my transgression; life gets in the way sometimes.

Yesterday I decided I wanted to do the 2005 front end conversion. Today I picked up a pair of 2005 headlights (genuine Ford) off Craigslist (extremely good timing! How often does that happen...). Still casually looking for a deal on a chrome 2005 grille and bumper, and maybe a set of factory alloys from a 1999-2004.

The past weekend was spent working on a friend's quad; she sunk it Postill (Kelowna) back in June and hasn't ridden it since. Also installed heated grips and thumbwarmer while we had it in the shop. But we used my Ford to haul it, so I believe I'm allowed to post that here.

Hey nice to see you. Yes sometimes life gets in the way, but it does come first.

Keep us posted on the front end conversion. I am interested in how it progresses. I have seen grills on ebay that are made to fit without any trimming.

The trimmed grilles are only needed if you are keeping your 1999-2004 bumper. I am going to install a 2005 bumper, so no trimming will be necessary.

Basically I am just collecting parts for now, waiting for the deals to come along. Since this is strictly a cosmetic mod, I want to do it as inexpensively as I can, so I'm not in any hurry.

I'll take a bunch of before and after shots when I do eventually convert it.

Somewhere in PG stored away I have a complete set of 5 wheels and tires off of a 2000 F150.
They were used for 3 years for about 7 or 8 months a year.

4 tires are junk, as in bald as could be, 1 tire is old, but has like new tread with maybe 100 kms on it....But the wheels are in good condition....Make me an offer if interested.
I go to PG every few months and could yank them out of the shed they are in, if its no rush.

Thursday I had the cat and muffler wacked out on my truck. Seemed to be faster on the trip home. Had a few times on the coke where I had to back off some. Also seems to be running a little more boost. Slightly lower egt's. Nice whistle. Deep tone when I get on it. I can't tell if it is excessive from the drivers seat.

I'll be hooking up the 5th wheel in about a week and a half, so I will see what it sounds like under some big load. May or may not decide to run a muffler.

Also noticed now I need a new steering stabilizer. Mine is kind of leaky.
