hey all,

just wanted to jump in and say hey. just got back from the martinsville race. anyone else ever notice the high number of ford trucks along rt 220/58 btwn roanoke airport and the track? dont think I have ever seen so many in one 60 mile stretch, everything from beauties to rust buckets, some for sale, some not...(and thats no red gun BS either!)

yep had a good time, was working so we had all access passes. got to watch some from the roof of the grandstands and then some from the pits..wierd weather though, cold, hot, sunny,windy rainy....
we stayed in roanoke so ran 220/58 twice a day.. again never seen so many ford trucks.. all shapes, all sizes.. alot of the dentside shortbeds...

 

Dannggggggg must be nice... the old man won tickets to the Richmond race coming up so i'll be over there for that.. You working that one too? Or was this a one time deal?

nope we dont work the richmond race, the locals take that.. we do martinsville, talladega,pocono and charlotte. they are alot of fun, this was my first martinsville, love the short track, if you havent been to richmond before you'll have a blast.....

got the bed off big bird before I left, worked a little on it tonite, removed the bumper, some gas tank bolts... gotta clean up the frame, replace the rear top shock mounts, they are in really bad shape...new springs too..

 

I've been to richmond a ton of times, prolly been 2 years since the last time i went though. Really looking forward to this one, by far my favorite track.

Very nice on big bird, thankgod my truck has been staying together here lately... got a new turntable i've been tearing apart in the dorm room lol, gotta make sure all the screwdrivers keep working.

 

when i went to maine near the end of 02 for a week trip.. we drove past dover speedway... bad part was apparently it was race day.. and we ended up running smack into all the traffic going to the race... so it was like bumper to bumper for least an hr till we got past the track...

 

someone please tell me it isn't already April?
