CPS Problem??

CPS Problem??
Back again for some more advice.
I have a 02 7.3, 6speed, 61,000 miles, 6637 filter, gauges (pyro & Boost) 4" turbo back straight pipe exhaust.
On my way home from work today it started missing, (that is acting like a gas motor when a plug wire is grounding, plug fouled, etc.) It did this twice within about a 2 mile span. Check engine light came on and happened approximately 5 more times within last 1/2 mile to house. Cut truck off and restarted, engine light is off and cannot get truck to duplicate problem.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Ran the codes. The computer did not store any.
I went ahead and changed the fuel filter (which I do religiously) and changed out the CPS. I have not had any more problems so far. I have noticed the truck takes longer to start now.
