I just removed some badges tonight. I just used a hair dryer to heat the badges up and then dental floss on one side to break the seal got my finger underneath and then just gently pryed the emblem off. Super easy as long as you heat the tape up on them.
It won't pull the paint off but on certain colors and how old the truck is the color under the emblems could be a extremely different color.
What are you going to do about the locator pin holes in the fenders?

I kept the F badges. The only way to get a really clean look is to fill the holes with metal sand them down and then re-paint or blend the paint in. A much more involved process than just removing badges
I still haven't been able to get the fender badges off. I've even tried using 50 lb. test braided fishing line. Haven't tried the heat gun yet.
The V8 badges came off easy and so did the 4x4 stickers. I think I'm going to pull off the fender badges and paint them flat black, but leave mask off the word 'Lariat' so it stays red. Going stealth!
