They got it pretty stripped down, the rear dualies are off as well as the body, the running boards and and most of the trim.

They told me it should be painted in a month or so.

The front bumper is a stock bumper for the larger trucks. I have a bumper from a F-4 and up on my F-2. I think it gives it a beefier look plus it came off of a parts truck I had. Originally my truck had a piece of C channel for a front bumper when I got it.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Mine's banged up (aren't they all), and while I'd thought about a $100 LMC painted front bumper, I wanted something a little bigger. Now that I see it on your F2, I'm WAY into it. I need to get one of those!

Are they the same (save for the ribbing/no ribbing_ from the '48 - '52 model run? Will the larger bumper just bolt right on?

Only the '48-50 had the smooth bumper. Ford changed to the ribbed bumper in '51, I think to draw attention away from the manure spreader auger grill.

No, the larger bumper don't just bolt up to the F-2 frame, which has the same up/down dimensions as the F-1 frames. I had to do a little cutting and welding on the bumper to bring the mounting flanges smaller gap of the F-2 frame horns. It wasn't hard at all. I just like that big piece of iron on the front of my truck. I don't think it looks too large for the truck. The larger truck bumpers are a little easier to find in the bone yards that still have some of the old iron.
