I wrote a few weeks ago regarding my 1994 f450 with the 7.3 stroker not strating when warm . I have since had the truck diagnoised at a ford dealer an found it to be that the Icp slow to build up on a high presure pump test an recomend replacing pump an IPR valve . 2 questions 1 the truck was still starting when cold an would run all day long . now won't start at all is it possible the the pump is now completely bad an is not building up enough to start ? an #2 what kind of Job is it to change the pump on this truck. just orderd a pump yesterday with the a new IPR valve . any help would be great
Usually when a PSD will start cold and not start hot the IPR o-rings are bad.
I would get it scanned before you throw parts at it although the newer 17º pump is a nice addition. It's not too bad to replace....just takes time & patience. Here's a good write up from rubberduck, green beans (reps) should be sent to him: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...-part-1-a.html
Did you have the IPR replaced by the dealer? Warranty? Take it back....the IPR o'rings may have been damaged when installed or the IPR solenoid tin-nut is loose.
