e4od line fittings on trans.

Could somebody tell me what both of the the threaded in fittings on my trans. is? I know the 5/16 inverted flare, but Im looking for the threads going into the trans itself. I know they are not npt, but what? an,jis, bspt, etc..

I just had to have my trans rebuilt, and I replaced the cooler, and I replaced the lines I ran 3/8 stainless steel tube from the cooler to the trans thinking the fittings on the trans case were 3/8", or 1/4" npt, but no such luck. Help, I will not allow myself to just hose clamp a piece of hose between the 5/16 steel lines at the trans. to the 3/8 stainless lines.

The line side of fitting is a flare fitting, but I'm looking for what thread and pitch style that actually threads into the transmission.

Hi Cudajim, That does help a little, but it only says 3/8" line x 3/8" pipe. I need to know the male threaded size. it says 3/8" pipe, but its definetely not 3/8" npt thread, since it is straight, not tapered. and Im looking for both the front and rear connection fitting sizes.

brad7.3, t would almost have to be tapered cause straight will leak. Could it be a metric thread? What Cuda shows is per ford so it should be right, maybe Mark K will see this and chime in he was a Ford transmission engineer and he should know. Good luck.

Its definetely not tapered, I wouldnt doubt it to be metric, but I still need the size and style on both the front and the rear.

No, I don't know. I never worked with the fittings.
