Question 2003 f350 4wd 7.3 ps

I know have a 1987 F350 6.9 banks 6.9 and am looking at a 2003 F350 PS 4WD that is going to be at auction. It is fully loaded, 108000 miles. What kind of problems do I need to look for? It is an automatic. What should it be worth? I live in Knoxville, Tn. any oppions?

blowby, leaks in the valley, pinion seals, balljoints, pull the intake tubing and check the turbo for dusting. Not shure if you can do all of that at an auction though. Price depends on condition though. I wouldn't give over 13,000 myself.

If it is a duelly , six new tires are under 1k, new rear brakes are 600 or so. Front brakes a little cheaper . ball joints and hubs about a 1000 also. Knowing you have the last of the best....priceless !

You can get all that maintance down cheaper if you try. Start the truck up look for any leaks, get a flash light and look into the valley and see what kind of leaks you have, if you can pull the intake tube off the turbo and look at the wheel and check for play. What auction is it at I might go down and look at it with you.

Well, the truck brought 13500 and then add 10%. It was nice, but out of my price range to not have a PPI done. Thanks to all for info!!
