So I changed my fuel filter(s) yesterday and putting the cap back on,(top of engine) it cracked due to overtightening more like a stress crack.

question is, is this under pressure or just a resevoir its not leaking but it cost $70. for a new one if there is now pressure then it should be aliright? i think, but if not i should by me a new one for the sake of a breakdown and a $200. tow

what do you guys think and if so where could i get another cheaper than the dealer?

...65psi or more so it is under pressure. Try online and your local international dealer (the same cap should be on the vt265). I would replace it because if it breaks the cost of the tow will be much less then the massive fire you will have...

Sorry you are right it is a VT275. They should have it in stock. I looked online and could not find a parts catalog so i can't give you a part number but they should be able to locate it for you.
