LED Radio Lights out - Radio works fine

Anybody else out there had this issue. This was an occasional problem for awhile, but now the lights for the radio/clock are gone. Any ideas on this?

Once in a while my radio lights dont work, and sometimes the controls dont work except for the on/off volume ****. I posted about this a while ago. Someone said it could be water leaking in form the windshield. They suggested getting a new unit from a junk yard.

Mine done the same thing. Is yours the AM/FC/CD and Cassette unit. I use to have the article on how to repair it. You can take it to a radio shop and have them repair it. What happens is the head unit puts off alot of heat, which cause a couple of the resistors to come loose. I have a fairly new factory unit setting on the shelf for sale.
