Finally got to do the ball oints, I took lots of pics, there in my pics.
Just in case anyone is curiouse.
All went well, although I think I damaged the abs sensor, now I have an abs light on, I will have to fugure that one out sooner than later.
The pics frfom WV were not part of h/m trails. Great riding though and we werent too far from H/M either.
Took about 3 hours first side, took my time and didnt rush. Not as tough as I thought it would be. The other side went a little qiucker, all tools right there and knew what to do and how to do it. Good sat project. Truch handles much better, and no annoyinig clung when braking.
I used a couple of screw drivers and started prying up in the adjustable cam, once that started coming up I started hammering the ball joints, top and bottom, and it fell out.
I did not replace any seals, everything came out good, I cleaned everything up, inspected all the seals, re lubricated and re assembled.
Checked out your pictures. Nice. Hopefully I don't have to do mine soon.
I noticed you now need the new upgraded rear pumpkin cover to get rid of that rusty one.
Yeah, I was going to remove it and paint it, but I think if I try to clean it up I am going to go right through it. I started poking at it with a screw driver, and quickly realized it wasnt a good idea. So a new cover will be ordered soon. I think x hemi guy has a nice one from ford. Gotta look into it.
