Pulled the dash on the Super Duty today to get access to the passenger side air bag switch. The air bag light was flashing on the dash and after checking the 7.3 forums found out that the little light on the switch probably burned out. I could take it to the stealer and pay a hundred bucks or so, or I could pull the dash and the printed circuit board out and solder a new bulb to it. Radioshack didn't have the bulb and won't have one till monday so, I'll have to wait to fix it. This site is great!!!

got the 350 running in the back of my pickup this week, it had some problems, so I a little more work, and I think it would mostly be ready to run if I had a radiator to put on it for testing. I bought a carb rebuild kit for it. Its a Holley 4 barrel.. wish me luck. Thankfully the rebuild kit has a real nice manual with it. we will have to see if it is remotely thorough enough for a dunce like me.

Curt helped me replace my humming passenger side axle shaft (vacuum-disconnect) with a solid shaft. No more hum! Unfortunately the seals aren't the same, so I was dumping diff fluid all day when we went wheeling
Then I broke my driver's side power window in the down position
Then my wife drove the Jeep for a while and wrapped the disconnected rear exhaust around the rear axle
1 step forward, 2 steps back is my lifetime motto

At CS&W my passangers side window also went down and stayed there. I tarped it the rest of the weekend and when I came home I parked it out back and tarped it until Clint could help me take it apart. Clint broke loose the screws that held the motor in place and tapped on it with the screw driver handle till it came up a little while I worked the switch. Then we pulled it up (helped it) the rest of the way. We unplugged it and it stayed out back with just one trip to fill it with fuel. It stayed out back waiting for a trio to Utah and those never happened. So I put Jr. out back in it's place. Drove Green last week and really missed not being able to roll that window down. So today I went and picked up a new motor and dropped it off at Grays. Should have it back today I think.

I've replaced a couple and they are pretty easy. Just drill out the rivets, put in the new motor and then use screws/bolts to mount it in place rather than rivets. I would plug it in and try the switches before mounting the new motor to make sure it and switches work.

since it was clicking, it might be such a thing that the gears are stripped, I would check to see if there was something binding(cheapest fix) then look at other options, sometimes you can post on Tk or something like that a want add, and post that you want a driver side electric window door, and pull the parts from it, and put it in yours(just an option)

You probably can pick up the parts at one of the salvage yards in JC when you are over there too. I would pull it apart and find out if it is a stripped gear or bad regulator before buying anything. You probably can get used stuff at the yard for $30-$40 max. It should be a common part.
My daughter had a 89 Probe and they were known to trash the power window regulators and they were only used one or two years and didn't cross reference with anything else but a Mazda 6. Those were real hard to come by and very expensive. Over $100. Common stuff is relatively cheap.

any holley carb fans out there? I got a walker kit to renew the carb from Oreillys, but I don't think it is the right one. I took the carb off and took it with me to Oreillys, but we couldn't really come up with any identifying numbers, I get the feeling the lady just grabbed the first kit on the shelf and threw it at me for lack of something else to try. The instructions don't look like this carb at all. Any advice on identifying it?
