ok ok would the sand blasting hurt the black painted part of the rim though?? because that is still in perfect condition....i was thinking about just getting fine sand paper and sanding the machined part of the wheels and just buying a powdercoat kit from summit for $125 and just getting the clear powdercoat and actually i could probaly even powdercoat the black part also

I don't know if it would hurt the black. But inorder to powdercoat it right would require a light sand blast. It would be just as easy to repowder them black and then clear.
but you might experiment a little with the sand paper and clear. Just experiment on the inside of the rim. See what works best...
I am not familiar with the summit kit. But to powdercoat them you would have to remove the tires and the rims would need to be in an oven up to 400 degrees to cure... depending of course on the type of powder you use..
