Working on this end......It's been upgraded with a composite stock, and fore grip attached to a composite picattiny rail. Since this picture, it's been upgraded again to the telescoping M-4 style stock (I have long arms, and the M-4 stock is much better for me). I have 5 30 rnd mags, and 1 5 rnd mag, and they always stay full of quality rounds. The 53 there is my other baby, equipped with a Caterpillar 1160 V-8 and a 5x4 spicer combo.

Oh yes. Personally, I do prefer the M-4 platform, but probably my strong Army upbringing. My absolute favorite though, is the Barrett .50 M82A1. I trained with my father, and my upbringing, and then a bit with the Army prior to my medical discharge, as a long range sharp shooter. I never officially entered a Ranger school, or sniper school, but have had the opportunity to play with them, and did recieve an invitation to attend the Ranger school. I accepted, and was discharged shortly after due to a tumor discovered inside of my right clavical. (some bs about not wanting me die in the field of cancer, if it was indeed cancer, risking the lives of my fellow soldiers). Dad was awarded the Green Beret in Viet Nam. Big Bro is a combat medic through the reserves in PA, and I chose to want and sit on the hill several hundred meters out and put one through whatever entered my sights. This little AK is sweet to around 350 yards open sights, and minimal environmental interference.

I had a Colt AR15 HBAR with aimpoint electronic sight, and it was very accurate to 300 yds and beyond..............However, if I had to bet my life on a weapon in a real world dirt and crap environment, it would be the AK.........nothing stops them from going bang every time!..........The USAF never cared how good I was with the M16A2, they just needed a forklift operator!
