Yeah, I'm bummed. The site is supposed to recognize that I'm browsing from a mobile browser, but that isn't working, and I don't know why.

Site admins: What string are you looking for? I've looked through all the settings on my phone, and don't see anything unusual.

Did you guys do something? When I hit m. from my phone this morning, I was asked if I wanted to view the mobile site, though a few hours before, I was not. I am happy. Thanks!!

As far as I can see there hasn't been any updates but I don't know what these guys do behind the curtain. I can't think of any explanation for why your phone had issues when mine, using the same android OS, has been using it fine since they made the new mobile site.

Along with that you can scroll all the way to the bottom of the default page. On the left side you will see a thing that say "New and Improved" just click that and select the "lightweight" option from the drop down. It should automatically reload the page on the mobile site.

Why are there pop up ads taking up space on my phone display? I really don't want to see a Hyundai commercial here at FTE.

Good question. I never use the mobile version because I just don't like it and find it frustrating to use. But out of curiosity, I went ahead and switched over to it and within a few seconds, my whole screen was overtaken by a Jeep ad. Only way I could get rid of it was to constantly hit the back button and I finally got back to the desktop version.

It was kind of like being stuck in a bad dream for a minute. You know, the kind where you're falling off a cliff and can't wake up, can't fly....

I just got a Net10 Droid touchscreen monthly pay-as-you-go plan. I'm still learning how this phone works, but before I even knew about the "mobile version" of FTE, I got on FTE w/o having the mobile version using my phones
browser. Worked great! Now if only my fat fingers would work great at touching the right letters/numbers on the stupid touchscreen keypad, things would be alot easier & quicker! LOL!

Donna, try using Swype instead of the native keyboard. Once you get it down, text input is a whole lot faster, and more accurate.

Swype is nice till you get used to it. after a while it gets annoying with how many mistakes there are and the inaccurate feel of it. I used it on an older phone though so maybe its gotten better. I just find it easier to type letter by letter.

Down in the lower left hand corner is the little offender I complained about. It's not there all the time, but even when it is, it's too hard to see on a 4+" screen. It's just annoying.

Wow that's really weird... I've never had an ad on the mobile site. I set up a lame adblocker that doesn't work too well but that may be blocking it.
