Loadlevelers

A dilemma, what forum to post: Need to replace shocks on 65 F100 and happened to come across front set NOS Monroe 'loadlevelers'. It was a 'get it now cheap, or lose it' and being an impulsive buyer, what can I say. Anyhow, would be interest if there are any opinions on whether they are worth the time and effort to install, the truck is used for hauling quite abit, but also don't want the front end to set unreasonably high. Subsequently went online and seems front 'loadlevels' more difficult to locate than rears. Any input appreciated, not worried if have to turn around and sell them.

Never used front ones. Didn't even know they made them. Been years ago but I remember the rear definitly raised and had a kind of springy ride unloaded.

Yes, not seen the fronts that's what got my attention. Could not find any info in 65 Ford shop manual, recall coming across a 'vintage tech article' published by Monroe but failed to bookmark and now can't find it. Appears they are good for 'offroad' and carrying heavy load where they work in conjuction to distribute the load, my concern with the fronts is don't want to be bouncing down the highway. Anyhow, likely go ahead and install and hold off purchasing the rears until I see how the truck rides.
