Carb Question

On my 84, F150 with 300 6, it has a feedback carb. The previous owner put on a new carb for a standard trans truck, the AOD has no place to hook up. Is there a simple fix for this, or should i just swap the carb? Also the feed back solinoid is unplugged. Where does it plug in? What color wires should i look for? The TPS and MAP sensor have also been removed/disconnected. Will this effect performance? Can i go with an earlier style carb and do away with all those? I plan on Installing a four barrel set-up and headers in the future. Also does anyone make a performance distributer for the 300 6?

Looks like everyone is converting over. If you get a earlier distributor that has a vacuum line connection, and the module to go with it, you can ditch the electronic engine control. There is no partial solution here. If you are missing sensors and have unplugged wires, then the computer is not going to work correctly, and it controls all the timing of the engine.

What about using an earlier style points distributor?

That will work too. You could then put a pertronix module in it if you wanted.
