What about the people in Colorado? 85, 87, and 91 octane. I use 85 octane, works just fine.

What do you mean don't mix different fuels?

Are you talking about mixing race fuel with regular gas?

I run 89 octance mid grade in my truck. I also ran it in our other previous trucks and my 89 Mustang LX that I used to have.

They all ran better on 89. In fact all of them were prone to pinging on the highway with the AC on when running 87.

I agree. I try to always run the same brand of fuel as well.

Na the Gen 1 is 87 Because its Naturally Aspirated

The Gen 2 Uses 91 Because of the Blower

I thought the 1st Gen Lightning required at least 89.

Our 97 Cobra and 2003 Maxima both require premuim and they are both naturally aspirated.

all my ford truck's have gotten 87. I never noticed pinging, but next fill-up i'll try some 89 and see if that clear's up any of the strange noise's that my truck seems to make when under load.
