2003 crazy power mirrors
HI,
Anyone have any ideas on this? When I hit my remote to unlock my door, the power mirrors move around. They don't seem to be going anywhere in particular. I have the reverse positioning disabled, so thats not it and like I said they just move to random positions

Never heard of this one before, but it sounds like an issue with the GEM module. That's what controls all the electronic goodies. If other issues start popping up, I'd be concerned about water damage do it. Other users have complained about windshield leaks, or the roof drain tubes that run down the sides of the windshield leaking, and getting the GEM wet.

Oh, just thought of this...If you or the previous owner had programmed the driver's settings (mirror placement, seat position, pedals), then the truck is supposed to reset to those depending on which remote is used to open the truck. This could be what you're seeing.

After you set the mirrors to your set driving position just push the button on the driver door #1 or #2 (depends which FOB your using) and if your not sure just press both this will set those positions into memory and may solve your problem. I think broncoholic may be onto something.
