can you pull a tach sensor off another truck with an e4od even if its a gas motor?the junk yard here sells them for $4 if so im going to go get them all.
The diesels use a magnetic pickup for the tach signal, so I don't think it would work. With a gasser, its usually just a wire off the ignition coil. At least thats how the older ones worked.
I'm trying to figure out what you are refering to for a "tach sensor". Is it a camshaft sensor or something like it?
