Tow Haul question

This light flash once a while on my dash
What this really mean.
Do I have to worry about transmission problem
Check oil good color and no smell

F250 2005 Xlt.

Getting prepare to pull a fith wheel this summer

When my tow haul light flashed on my 05 F450, the trans was done. Have it checked out.

The flashing light means something is wrong with the transmission. It can be something very simple. If you ignore it you probably will have to replace the transmission.

From your owners manual;

Transmission Tow/Haul Feature
(automatic transmission):
Illuminates when the Tow/Haul
feature has been activated. Refer to
the Driving chapter for transmission function and operation. If the light
flashes steadily, have the system serviced immediately, damage to the
transmission could occur.
