Feel / Hear shudder after MBRP install

I had the turbo-back MBRP exhaust installed on my truck last weekend. Ever since the exhaust has been installed I hear a shudder sound.

This doesn't happen constantly. When I'm sitting at idle I hear a cyclical sound that sounds like a vibration or shudder. This could be due to the exhaust pipe touching a bolt under the frame - so I'm not really worried about that.

What does concern me is when I turn the truck off it makes a shutter sound/feeling right before the engine stops running. It's like the very last sound before silence from the engine (or from the turbo, whatever) is this shudder sound/feeling I've never heard/felt before.

Anyone else ever experience this right after installing an aftermarket exhaust?

I had the same sound it's the bolt on the heat shield vibrating against the exhaust . I cut it off problem solved.

I've been searching and reading quite a few people experienced this same shudder when turning off the truck after installing a custom exhaust. That at least helps me feel like I'm not crazy and it isn't anything MAJOR wrong with the truck.

Now...if I can just find out WHERE this dang exhaust is rubbing - maybe it's just that 1 spot under the cab where the pipe rests on a bolt on the frame. I'll also check around the down pipe as that seems to be a common cause of this shudder.

look where the exhaust goes over the crossmember, mine always hits one of the bolts
I just got done fixing it again
I even put another hanger there to pull it away from the frame but still goes back over somehow

Mine hit in the same place. Not sure about your other issue you are having. Cant imagine its your exhaust doing it.

My exhaust was vibrating against that crossmember bolt, too. Had to adjust a hanger and it fixed it.

Trans crossmember bolt here too, had to adjust mine. What I would do is get somebody to shut the truck off while your looking under there and see whats doing it, could be a loose clamp or hanger to not you being used to the sound of an better flowing exhaust stopping. Just a thought.
