hi everyone!!
just stopping in after a week long disappearing act to say the welder is apparently working fine. . .there's gas, there's wire, and it runs. . .just me that hasn't welded in a bit
You can swing by here on a weekend or if you have power I could possibly run out there
Ok, back to movie time

OH! so who's got a white truck and might have been on charity neck last night? i SWEAR there was an fte sticker on the back of the truck that passed me around 7:30 yesterday, but i was riding one horse bareback and leading the other one, so it was hard to tell

i was thinking you had like a 2 post car lift with swing arms that could come up under the bed...
but yeah if its an over head lift for like lifting engine blocks outta the engine compartments.. you could attach the straps to the 4 tie down points in the bed and lift it that way too...
either way you do it youll still have to undo the bolts holding the bed to the frame.. but figure you knew that already...
ive personally never lifted a bed off a truck but had to lift the cab off a truck once... was an ole 23 ford pickup.. that cab was heavy as heck.. even with 20 guys from my class lifting it... (truck we had in our shop to work on)... im still surprised how heavy that thing was... but i need to pull the bed on my truck too when i get around to wanting to paint it.. but i need to flip mine over so i can fix its support braces and then do some metal work on it...

thanks shawn,
yep its a four post lift like for storing cars or doing underneath work....
we(myself and four others) moved the newer bed I have from a box truck onto my homemade 'wheeled' cart so i could clean it up and undercoat it before I put it on my truck.. it doesnt seem that heavy, i dont think its a heavy as the cab....
right now the newer bed is standing on 2x4's on the front end and then strapped to the rolling dollies so i can easily work on the underneath and push it around my garage so it out of the way....
thanks again,'
