automatic locking hub
having problem with the automatic locking hub on my 97 f250 hd, seemed to be 1/2 engaged because it was making some noise, so i pulled it apart and regreased it, and putting it back together couldnt get snap ring (over the spline washer) into the groove to seat it in, even after pulling the axle out that wee bit. was wondering if anyone has a photo breakdown of the auto hub assembly to make sure i assembled it correctly (no manual) and any ideas why this would happen. i also went to change the oil in the front dif. and come to find there was only 1/2 quart of fluid in there(not the 1.8 thats needed) was wondering if that would have any affect?
