How to tell an early 99????

build date on door post...before 12/7/98 is the early 99..
or look at this pic of the spider that sits in front of your turbo..the painted spider is the 99.5 the older one is the early 99..see the leg sticking up?? that is where the driver side IC pipe is..the early 99's leg gets smaller as it goes into the belly..the 99.5 stays a full 3 inches as it goes into the belly..you can also count the bolts holding the compressor housing on the turbo..99.5 has 5 bolts..early 99 has 4..
