Banks Techni-cooler intercooler system

Hey guys. I got a 2007 F-350 with stacks, sct custom tune, an im doing a intake and cfm+ elbow kit soon. I'm looking at intercoolers and the banks seems good. I am wandering if anyone has installed a banks techni-cooler intercooler on there for 6.0l. What kinda peformance you gain out of the intercooler besides lower egts? What kinda horsepower gain do you think you will see?

Until you start doing the stuff that's in my siggy, you do not, I repeat do not need to do an a/m intake on these trucks. Spend that money towards something else.

Spearco has one made from better materials it's just not as thick as the banks. All in all the banks intercooler is perhaps the one thing that I would get from Banks, there other stuff isn't worth the scratch you have to pay for it. In all honesty, you may or may not need an intercooler depending on location and other things. I'm running stock intercooler and no sign of worries yet, although I do have the money set aside for it.

I put the Technicooler in last summer, only because I got it dirt cheap on Craigslist. I don't have an EGT gauge, but haven't noticed any differences. It seems to have exactly the same amount of power. If I were you I'd save the money and leave it alone. Installing the intake elbow can also be hairy, I stripped two elbow bolts in the intake and had to Helicoil them all

I purchased the Accufab intake Elbow (off eBay), I felt a little faster Turbo spooling and my boost PSI is not as high. Makes your engine breathe more efficent. Big plus is it is shiney for looks....

I got the full Banks Technicooler kit with Banks elbow. On the '04 and earlier trucks the elbows suck so the aftermarket ones may be worth it, but for you I'd do a lot of other stuff before messing with the intake.

Yeah. I really dont know what to do next. I mean I could do injectors or turbo, but thats an expensive upgrade and Im not sure if i will.I mean who makes the better turbo and who makes the better inectors? I would a stage one inector if i would do them. I just dont know who makes the best.

IMO there are two great choices for injectors (pick one - both great):

Ryan Casserly - FULL FORCE DIESEL
Josh Boggin - River City Diesel

If your going to do one before the other, do injectors first. It's easier to pull fuel out of the injectors to match with factory turbo, it's not easy to force more fuel thru factory injectors to help spin a bigger a/m turbo.

Casserly did my stage 1s and I'm very happy with them and his customer service. Josh did my turbo and I'm very happy with that. Casserly doesn't do turbos, so I can't compare the two on that. I would vote Casserly though, he set the bar pretty high for Josh to match up with him, however, I haven't heard a bad thing about Josh either. Both will probably due right by you.

90hp injectors are the equilivant of 150mm^3(what I have) and those should be fine unless something is wrong with your fuel system to begin with. 190mm^3 are what I would think the max would be until you need to upgrade to a FASS or Airdog system(both are essentially the same).

Spartan injectors were made first by Ryan Casserly and then by Josh Davis, so you can go to either one of them and get one and the same. Elite's I have no experiance with, but I have heard good things from them, however, personally I would do Casserly's injectors.

Oh Ok. I went on both FULL FORCE diesel and Rivercitydiesel.com. Full force didnt have anything for the 6.0 diesel. On river city I saw all the inectors. So if I were to order from river city, it would be spartan injectors. How do you like the stage 1 injectors that you got. Can you really notice the extra power. By the way tex25025 i believe i saw a video of your truck on youtube on the dyno. It sounded and looked sweet.

You can't go by the website really of Full Force. My injectors are done by Casserly. I would talk to him personally. I like mine alot. Really have helped wake the truck up especially for towing.

I would do some fuel system upgrades before injectors, probably will help your stock setup a little too.
