I have 4 extra IDM resistors 73.2k ohm 1/2w resistors up for grabs, just send me your address and i will put in an envelope usps on Monday.... had to order a min. of 5 so I have 4 left....
Are these for the 110v or 120v IDM? If I had the nads to try this I'd take you up on it!
Chase- do you have the IDM-110? I've got a 75K resistor I can send you. I'm saving the other one for my dad's '95. Let me know and I can either throw it in the mail or bring it next month.

Early 99, I'm assuming IDM 110 but haven't checked. I'm still up in the air on this mod... can't decide if the juice is worth the squeeze.
Bergerson- I appreciate your faith in me, but there is no way in hell I'd try this one myself! So what if I'm wearing a skirt... at least I admit it, right?

I think it is, but someone can chime in to verify. I was pretty up in the air too, but then decided "what the hell, go for it". I didn't even slow down long enough to think about screwing something up. It took longer to get the thing out the truck than to get the cover off and the new resistor in. The downside of doing it, is you've got to wait a couple of days for the sealant for the lid to cure. At least I had to with the stuff I used.
It's a highly debated mod, but I did see some improvement in low end throttle response, even in my 02 with the 120V. I have NO tuning on the truck at all. Before the IDM mod, I could not power brake it and break the back tires loose. After the mod, I CAN get the back tires spinning a little.
Also, I really didn't think the HPX made the motor run any smoother or quieter, but after I did the IDM mod, I did notice the engine idling smoother and quieter. Maybe the combination, I don't know. Just food for thought.
We'll have to ask Jody @ live tuning about this... I remember hearing somewhere that he does not recommend the IDM mod on a tuned truck.
I thought I read on a thread here that Jody doesn't think it does much good on a tuned truck because he adjusts for it in the tunes. Or something like that.
I've already done is, so can't turn back now. But I do agree that it's be nice to get his exact take on the mod.
