i have an 89 F150 that im about to paint. i really want to take the body trim that runs all down the side of the truck off before i do this. has anyone ever tried this? how hard would it be? is it worth it? would i weld the holes, or bondo? any help would be appreciated

If the trim is like my 91 it is stuck on with very sticky double sided tape. I took it off with a nail bar. It made for nice looking paint job by taking it off.

 

It is the same as a 91 cause my 89 had the same sticky tape. definitly worth taking off. My 89 looks great without it.
