Im lost in FTE

When I first joined this site I was able to do several searches on topics I am researching (frontend swaps etc.). Now it seems like the same search parameters are not working. Instead of threads dealing with those topics I am getting threads from all forums. HELP!! I freely admit to being "forum and blog challenged!" What do I have to do?

Hi Zeke:

Use the Search option in the top right blue bar on the screen. Choose the Advanced Search option at the bottom. At the bottom right you can choose the forums you wish to search.

If you are in a specific forum ( like 1948-1960 F1...), the search will be for that forum only; so in some cases the search is either all forums or the specific forum you are currently in. Regardless of location in FTE, you can use the Advanced Search option to specify the forum(s) you want to search.

P.S. The Search This Forum is located on the blue Sub-forums line whereas the Search (overall) is located on the blue line at the top.

Thanks to both for your help. I was trying that but must have screwed something up. Maybe I should just stick to steel! I seem to understand it better than url's and people! lol

Hi Zeke,

It's not you - I'm getting the same thing. I use the search function religiously and it has been AFU on and off ever since the upgrade last month.

Maybe later!

Your low number of posts could be effecting some things.
Usually you have to have 25 or more posts to have acess to all forum functions.
Its a security thing to weed out the normal people.
