J.C. Whitney Body Parts
Has anyone out there had any luck with those J.C.Whitney replacement doors? I have an '82 F100 stepside, and the doors are pretty dinged up, and not worth pulling the dents, and repainting. By the way, do they really come ready to paint? Because I hope to get my truck repainted to it's original med. blue, and silver paint scheme this summer.

I've ordered body stuff from them before without any pains. They are basically ready to paint (must be scuffed first). Do keep in mind that these parts are imports and i've seen 'em rust after about two years, not to mention the shipping is going to get you! Sometimes it's best to look locally first, I think murray's and auto zone can order them if you're in Michigan Diehls in Ann Arbor has everything you want and no shipping charges!

Try a place called "Texas Crash Parts" in San Antonio... on Rittiman Road... they sell the imported stuff just like JCW for about the same price less JCW's high shipping cost... I bought a fender for my girlfriends '86 Olds.. not perfect but 1/2 the price... scuff, prime and undercoated the inside to slow down the rust....
Give 'em a call.. maybe they carry what you are looking for....
