Are you sure you have limited slip? And if you do, try changing out the rear diff fluid and go easy on the friction modifier. If that doesn't work, there are several options for better LS setups and lockers.

You can check and see if you have a limited slip or not by looking at the code on the door. If it has a letter in it its a limited slip, if its just 2 numbers is open. I got a limited slip out of a bent axle for $100, if you know someone who rebuilds wrecked truck they might have one. Randy's Ring & Pinion has good pricees on aftermarket ones.

Don't take me wrong, but I have gauges, I see what happens with the programs, how the boost, and EGT moves up and down. I also had blown head gaskets back a year ago, that was the time, when I installed ARP studs.
I actually tried every available tune ( Spartan archive ), and also running Innovative Extreme Race like a DD, and I do know what it takes to burn out, or leave the tire-marks behind at a take-off. Some of the folks here say, that if you keep your boost under 30psi, you'll be fine with stock head-bolts. It is not true!!! If you take your time, and read a lot in the previous threads, you'll see that a lot of FTE members blow head gaskets even with a stock truck. And if you blow your head gaskets, believe me that no-one, but you will pay the price. Of coarse, if you planning to get ARP-s, you'll eventually, and if you testing your new SCT the way you mentioned, I'm afraid that the studs will be on the higher level on your priority list, than the LS differential....
Don't take me wrong, just try to tell my experience. I'm glad you enjoy your new toy, it's the greatest programmer for the 6.0, but just because it's the greatest and safest, it doesn't mean that you could let the tires spin all day long without consequences.

I got him for ya Tim.
Yep, adding a tuner really adds to the power, but it's usually just a matter of time before the HG's blow. Gotta pay to play.
I loved driving mine tuned, but I've had too many problems to trust it so I drive it stock. Turbo lag, poor shifting, poor throttle response, etc...
To the OP, as Jim_C stated above, change the rear axle fluid and add minimal friction modifier. That should make a difference. A Detriot Locker would really solve the issue, but if you drive on icy roads you won't want an automatic locker in that pumpkin.
