removing shift **** on 99superduty

i need to replace the shift **** on my 5 spd 99 f-350. HOW in heck does this come off? ive almost given up on it. thanks

Not sure on the newer ones but, if it's like the older ones, just Yank it straight off. My 93 comes off this way.

If the **** is like the older models it is a compression fitting. A small tap from the underside will allow it to be removed.
