Recieved an e-mail yesterday from an employee at the Romeo Engine plant claiming that they are gearing up for a June run of 6.2's he states that there are too many being ready'd for just the HarleyF150, also say's that the Plant at Essex is also getting ready for a run for the 5.0's
Not sure, was told the run ends in December, all I can figure out is that Ford will keep this quiet as much as possible for as long as possible, will try to get more info.
why on the ford website does it say the harley's coming with a 5.4?
My guess would be that Ford knows that a lot of owners may hold off buying an F-150 in anticipation of the new engines coming out and they don't want to inhibit sales leading up to the intro. The 5.4 is a great engine and I know having had two of them in previous trucks. But we all know what happens when you dangle 400+ horsepower in front of potential truck buyers... well some of them anyhow.

Good job keep us posted please I am just waiting for the 5.0 4V in the f-150
Trucktrend has the details on the Land Rover LR4 engines, which includes a new 5.0 V8. I know this is not the same as Coyote, but the development on both was done under Ford, the technology is the same age, and the application is very similar. So I would say 375 HP/375 lb-ft (280kw/508Nm) should be about right on the 2010 Ford F-150 5.0 V8. 2010 Land Rover LR4 - First Look - Truck Trend
While I am more excited about the 6.2, this would be a great replacement for the 4.6 if the figures are similar to the LR/Jag engine.

Are you sure, Essex used to make 5.4 and and Romeo made the 4.6. with Romeo having higher production capabilities you would think they would be making the 5.0 seeing it would probably be an engine with higher demand seeing it will more than likely be used in more vehicles.
would the 5.0 have the same towing capability as the 5.4? how would the 6.2 compare to gas milage on the 5.4? sorry for the question haha.
All speculation but 5.0 should have more hp than 5.4 maybe 50+ more, and tq will be close to 5.4ls 365. Maybe 350 - 375. BUt short answer should do everything a 5.4L does. Remember the 3.5L EB is a premium upgrade from 5.0L.
6.2L mpg? who knows? Compared to a 5.4L 4 speed I'd suspect it would be close.
