^^^ it's a 2" cloverleaf and a 1" 4 hole. It's to help promote better fuel swirl and increasse the air/fuel velocity when running a dual plane intake.

The headers actually have a 3/8" spacer between them and the heads. Its to give me a smoother transition between the max ported D3 heads and the 2 1/8" tubes.

bartn98 - I am running moser shafts in the rear 60. No problems so far but they are only 30 spline 1" shafts so I have my fingers crossed LOL. The stock ones lasted awhile but once I stepped up to a healthy big block, it wasnt long before they gave up on me.

Whats up with the valve covers vented into the exhaust? Is it just a different spot instead of the air cleaner. I'm interested never seen that before.

I do believe he explained it on here before.

I want to say that it creates a sort of very small vacuum especially when it gets into the higher Rpm's....

Not sure on that. I think its right but Karl will likely chime in. Heck Ed might know something about it too.

It's a race motor thing. You won't see that on your normal street motor. They are crankcase evac tubes that use the exhaust flow to suck the gases out of the crankcase.

I'll be running those on my new build as well, not sure if they help alot, but I know they do work. They're also supposed to help keep the piston rings sealed so that you don't lose compression to blow by.
