No, the headunit is a RCH under double din. Din and a half is mostly a chrysler and some import size. You can fit double din in with a minimal amount of work I'm told.

Yes a double din kit will fit. You WILL need to trim a minimal amount out with a razor blade but it is very easy.

Hope that helps. Bryan

That kind of depends on how you want to mount it. New radios should come with a cage that has tabs that can lock the radio into an opening. If you use the cage, then I don't believe you need to use a kit. The tabs should lock to the dash opening, it probably will not sit flush though.

There's photos posted of mine - AVIC, double DIN works fine. Very minor
sanding on the bottom.

Did you use a dash kit to install or just used the metal cage

I believe that you should always use a cage, it provides a little more meat for the stereo to mount to. Some of the head units are pretty heavy. Thats just my two cents worth.

Been there, done that. Don't kid yourself, it's a lot of work to do, but the results are worth it. I started off trimming "a little" with a razor blade and ended up using the dremel to get all the material out that needed to be trimmed. The other bug-a-boo is that the head unit now installed in your dash bezel and not the bracket that the factory used. It's also not very deep, so all your cables really get squeezed behind the head unit.

Good luck, if you have specific questions, let me know.

Well, my double din unit came on Monday, installed it that night. The previous owner must have had a double din installed at one time, so i didnt have to trim anything! Had it installed in 20 minutes. I forgot I ordered a wire harness online and went and bought one Monday, and today one shows up in the mail.....opps!! Guess i can sell this one cheap!

Ohh yeah, I will post some pictures later. I have some headrest monitors that should be here today UPS, so im gonna go out and work on getting those installed today.....I will post pictures of that too!
