Just replaced my engine in my 2001 with 320,000 miles. Still worked great but it was getting a little tired and I had an opportunity to get a used with 56,000.
163,000 on my 2000x, was at the grand canyon railway this summer their shuttle van was a 3/4 ton van with 395,000, and the guy said they drive the dog out of it everyday. No problems as far as he had heard.
A guy at my cousins work has a V10 van used for expediting, with over 1 million miles and still going strong. Never had the valve covers off!
a million....., now thats what I call longevity!! I could never keep a vehicle that long, I live in the north, the body would rust right off it by the time it hit a million miles, or half that for that matter...
171,000 & counting. 2000 F350 cc 4x4 longbox. runs better now then the day I drove it off the lot. I use it for a daily driver & to tow my 13500lb toyhouller. Wouldn't change it for anything, except maybe a new v10!!!
Like the energizer bunny they keep going, going an going. I wouldnt be surprised to see some off these V 10s hit 500,000 miles. But you know you kind off expect that when you drive a Ford. They run forever without much problems.
Barrel,
I agree as the miles increase, the truck seems to wake up. I heard the magic number seems to be 7500 and 10000 miles. I definately like seeing these big mileage vehicles. A buddy of mine sets up dynos and he has always said, the v-10 is bullet proof
