Temp wiring for Y Block and Ignitor

I am wanting to fire up my Y-block that I just put an Pertronix Ignitor and Flame Thrower coil in. I need to wire up just the motor temporarily. Will this work? Do I need the wire going from terminal 1 on the relay to the coil when I have removed the resistor?

Let me check it with mine, for some reason, the brain is not "doing" signal flow tonight.

No Generator/alternator or starter button, right?

It appears to me that you have an extra connection going from the positive side of the coil to the distributor (the red one) I'm not sure it should be there but might be part of your Pertronix set up. You might recheck your instructions for that. Most normal ignition set ups just run a single lead from the negative side of the coil to the distributor - mine included. It is the MSD "Drop and Drive" distributor. I also use a Flame thrower (great choice BTW) and yes the ballast resistor should not be installed.

Other than questioning the red wire it looks ok to me.

The extra red is infact for the Pertronix.
No is Resistor due to the Flame Thrower Coil.

I also have a three wire alternator not the single but for now that is not a concern.

Thanks for the input.
