Just bought my 2003 SuperCrew 4x4 with 103k on the clock. New o2 sensors to get rid of the CEL, needs driver seat repair, spark plugs, and change fluids... then I hope to drive it for many years!

2000 5.4 with 190000& still no major problems. Rebuilt front end about 105000 along with plugs & 1coil on #4. On second battery & 3rd set of tires. It is starting to nickel & dime with body parts to include electric lock repairs & rear drivers door latch failure that cost a lot, $400.00, to replace. Seems Ford doesn't sell the upper & lower latch system anymore just all together, BUMMER. Pull a 6000 lb travel trailer about 8 t 10 times a year & the fuel millage is poor but it is ready for a set of plugs as these have about 90000 on them. 3000 mile oil & filter changes & 1 belt in 190000 miles. guess thats not bad as it doesn't use any oil between changes yet. The tranny is original & still going strong. A replacement would cost 38000 which menas I can spend a lot on maintance & still come out ok. Just wish it didn't burn SOOOOO much fuel.

You could buy an ecoboost and spend a lot more over 20 years in maintenance than that extra 5 MPG will ever buy you

Mine in a 1999 Lariat with 348,000kms (216,000 miles). Love it! Best vehicle I have ever owned. Still looks great and feels like new.

Repairs to date:
- heater core
- fuel pump
- ignition coils
- idler arm

Tows my bass boat with ease.

I have just got a 97 f150XLT 4x4 ext cab stepside, It has been sitting the last two years i am in the process of going thru it 4.6l auto. I have ordered new u joints for rear shaft air filter fuel filter spark plugs and wire set. I cleaned the inside up and the seats are in great condition with only one cig burn hole in back seat. Has new tranny in it runs and drives great 202,000 miles. I was shocked at how quite it was, I thought the third door would rattle or something but it doesn't. smooth riding too. I think I'm going to keep this one and sell my 76 F250 two wheel drive. This 97' is just a dam nice truck.

215,000 on my 2000 F-150 4x4 supercab.

Just had the intake manifold fail at the typical coolant passage locations. Replaced two sets of lower ball joints, first set only lasted 30,000 on the truck. A NEW truck with only 30,000 miles! Heck the factory tires lasted 60,000! Overall the truck has been very good, very few problems and is still really solid. I'm a little worried about the auto tranny though, a 4R70W. It's not downshifting into second when passing anymore and I may have noticed a slight slip on occasion.

No complaints - Ford builds a solid truck!
