Hey Steve....what size tires are you running? I like the way they fill in the wheel wells

207,000 miles. My lifters tap a little but seems to run fine. 5.4 / My MPG is at 12.5 and 16 hwy. It was better when I bought it. It has new plugs as of 140,000. New trans fluid at 140k as well.

2001 5.4L 4x4 2-valve, Windsor Canada motor, 246,000 and still going. Original trans.
Just had to do the plastic intake manifold remove and replace because of coolant leak.
It's been a good reliable truck. I bought it used in 2011.
To do list:
exhaust headers
windshield
timing chains/guides/tensioners

Ordered this truck new, and waited about 5 months as this was one of the first 5.4L F150s. (Really wanted the 5.4, not the 4.6)

5 rear ends between 35,000 and 65,000 miles. This one has stayed together, but there's a bad vibration in it at highways speeds.
6 COPs. cylinders 4&8 each got 2. 2&3 each got 1.
A/C compressor at 85K. The clutch burned up and I chose to replace the compressor, too.
3 radiators.
2 starters.
1 set ball joints.

It really is the best engineered vehicle that I've ever owned. If it weren't for the rear ends, I'd still be all grins.

i have to ask!!! Why FIVE rear ends in 30,000 miles?

There's got to be a STORY there!
