fuel injectors on 04

I think I need new injectors and I see that newtakeoffs have sets of takeoffs, but list them for 05 thru 08.
Will they work on my 04?

Why would you think you need new injectors? They'll last the life of the vehicle 99% of the time. I'd have them cleaned or flow tested if you think you have a problem.

x2 with 4doorsr

but to answer your question, check the part #'s. You'll find what you are describing is the case for almost everything for our trucks. It's because Ford offered 2 completely different F-150's in 2004.

So most places say 05-08 models to cover their butts...even if the part is 100% correct for a 04 new body style.

The 2004 F150's had fuel injector problems. There are multiple TSB's on free replacemt, up to Engine replacement, due to leaking injectors, causing hydrolock.
You should check into these if you are having problems. First go to a good local mechanic to diagnose your problem, pay him for his diagnose, then go to your dealer to have them replaced free.

What would be some symtoms of a bad injector? And are 2004's still covered under the free injector replacement?

I should have gave some back ground.
the truck has 140,000 miles on it, and idles offen as I use it as my office at work. I have had hard starting for a week now and is getting worse.
I,m changing the fuel drive mod tonight and fuel filter.
Yea I know it might also be the fuel pump. In the morning I will pull the fuel rails and see if they are seaping. I try to do all of my on work unless I have to. I don't trust the dealers as far as I can throw them.
thanks guys I,m just tring tocover my bets

the injector problems were for 2005 models, and the repairs only apply for those models

when is the last time you changed your fuel filter? these trucks get funky when the filter is dirty...and you should see what happens when the battery starts going bad

the truck acts possessed when the battery starts going/gone bad. relays will randomly cycle, the radio will pulse, door locks clicking

really damn freaky
