Braided stainless brake lines?

I'm looking to upgrade the brakes on my tow vehicle. I will use Performance Friction Z brake linings, a high-temp brake fluid-- and have read that braided stainless steel brake lines are a good idea. Actually, a very good idea.

Are they expensive? Can they be ordered for particular brands and models of vehicles, or must they be custom-made? Are they worth the price? What would a good source be?

Thanks much for any information.

I bought skyjackers, very happy when them. Noticed a better pedal feel, and better braking. It stopped better with 32" tires vs 235/75/15s, so the improvement was very noticlable. I'd suggest them, mine were for a 4-6" lift though. I'm sure they make them for regular lifts too. If you plan on lifting, buy the longer ones. Mine were 100 bucks for all 3.

Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .

Check out my Gallery for a look-see.

Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Heavyduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Weighs around 7,000lbs w. 65mph top speed, who wants to race me!

What i meant to say was, I put the lines on when i upgraded to 32" tires, so if i felt a better feel with larger tires, than they would have felt even better with the smaller/lighter 235/75/15s.

4wheelparts.com . I asked for rush delivery and it was late. They told me they'd refund the extra charge but never did, so i said the heck with it and don't but from them anymore.

I just got a set for my 82 F250. Cost $125 for the two front and single rear hose. Call 1-800-385-9452 for the Skyjackers. You can alos get the "Earls" brand at Summit I think.

NTWonline.com has them for 95 bucks. You'll have to call them.

That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.

I would like to point out that they will not take to being rubbed against metal parts as well as a rubber hose will. Any contact point I would wrap a piece of fuel line around, which is what I do with rubber hoses too.
