Hello everyone this is gonna get on my top 10 list of B.S....... I DEAL WITH i picked up a 1997 EB 4X4 4.6 good price needs body work replacement parts no trouble and trans front seal blew.I picked up a low mileage {so they said} transmission from a 99 EXP. i had trans installed now i have a check engine light and a flashing O.D. LIGHT. the trans slips between 1st and 2nd but the truck runs good i went to auto zone they pulled code p1740 and p0752 Shift Solenoid is the trouble. now does anyone know where this 38.00 part goes or how to install it,....please someone give me the GOOD NEWS I CAN FEEL IT COMING! thanks b gentle

i had to have the shift solonoids replaced on my 97 i believe there were 4 of them the shop did it by pulling off the bottom pan on the trans total cost was about 250 just another thought was the trans from a 4.6 or a 5.4 could it be that there is a different shift timing that is being controled by the computer???????

 

thanks for reply tomorrow i'm going to shop to get transmission checked., at lease nowi have an idea about what price ,i was tempted to remove solenoids from my old transmission and change filter and then check transmission
