01 acting up?

01 acting up?
hello all,
I think(!?) the battery is dying or water in/on the dash(?)....any help would be great.
I'm in so cal and it's raining pretty good...
of course, the wife drove the truck to work...so bear with me...I'm passing on the info:
-truck is making a clicking(?) sound...with no keys in ignition!
-heard 3 beeps followed by pause then repeated, as she was exiting the freeway....
any ideas?

When my batts were low, there were all kind of clicking going on under the dash, but not with the key out. I would test the batts to make sure they are good. Look for water dripping on the fuse box. May have a problem there.

my bad....
I sold the 03 in my sig (nothing but probs)
bought an 01 250
you guys will like this....
wife took the truck to local pep boys for battery test....batteries are fine
but, when she left to go to pep boys, she hit the gas and water hit her foot!!!
so, my conclusion would be: water is getting in somewhere....
now she's parnoid as all hell---I have to leave work early to follow her home or switch out and take it for a little ride!!

That's usually the sign of a leaking windshield. Since there's lots of electronic goodies up under the dash (GEM, fuse block, etc.) water dripping in this area is usually a bad thing.
Look up under the dash with a flashlight. If it's quit raining, use a garden hose to spray the windshield to see if you can find the leak.

I think you're right....leaky something or other...
went and switched cars with the old lady....
funny part is I drove home and no worries?!?!
