DP tuner hurt motor?

i want to get a dp tuner but i have heard mixed stories. my truck has 140,000 miles on it will the tuner hurt my motor? i got gauges coming and stacks and plan on finding and intake. what do you guys recommend? and what is a 6630 mod?

Its an aftermarket filter that fits onto your stock air intake hose when you remove the stock air box.

As long as you are responsible... The DP will only help your truck... not hurt it. I would be interested to know who you herd that it would hurt your truck. Non of those stories around here. Everyone LOVES their DP.

oh ic. is it good to use with a tuner? or better to get a dif intake?

The 6637 is comparable to most expensive intakes better then anything with K&N on it. And about 95% better then your stock one.

That filter will support a lot more HP than you'll be making with just a tuner.

It is good with or without a tuner. It lets the engine breath a heck of a lot better than the stock air filter box. It also seals better, uses hose clamp for positive seal. No more dusting.

so it looks like you remove the plastic housing then? how much is it?

Yep. Pull the stock box out, then just lay it in. It's about $35 delivered from FleetFilter.com. Go there and search for part no. 6637...

Do a search for permagrin and or variations of that word and it will let you know how people like their dp's
