I have a little question

i have a 1987 F.150 2wd, well was, anyway, i was wondering if the tailshaft of a 2wd C6 will unbolt for a transfer case, i was just wondering, my truck is an early 87, carburated, making 460 powered and 4x4, its alot of work but will pay off in the end, thankyou for not telling me to quit wasting my time and thanks for the info

Hey.. nothing wrong with having a project truck. I'm not 100% sure on the C6 but on other trannys the output shaft has to be changed to connect a transfer case, can't simply remove the tailshaft and bolt on the T-case. Changing the output shaft means completely disassembling the tranny of course.
